MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF MATCHA

Tea leafs storage

After drying, it is called as Aracha , then is encompasses all the parts of the leaf, including the stems, veins,

baby hairs and bits of broken down leaf. Special teas, such as Tencha (the precursor to matcha).  

Tencha is then grinded in a stone mill or ball grain grainer into powder to make Matcha. 

Tea Plucking

Gyokuro and Matcha tea farm

Matcha tea leaf is steamed about 30 seconds in the steam of 100C ,

to maintain a bright green colour and stop the oxidation.

Cooling by the wind and scatter the leaf. Eliminate the excess moisture on the surface of the leaf. And then,

tea leaf is dried about 30 minutes in the special oven.
